Context & Scope
With 2G, 3G, and 4G still coexisting, the rollout of 5G created a strategic need to retire legacy networks and optimize CAPEX/OPEX allocation.
During my internship, I contributed to a cost study that evaluated three scenarios: shutdown of 2G, shutdown of 3G, or sequential shutdown of both.
Each scenario provided country-level cost estimates for Orange entities, factoring in equipment costs, deployment timelines, and tower density.
